How You Can Help

A lot of things in our great Country are free, but flyers, posters, and radio/television commercials and advertisements are not. There are many ways in which you can help the Pender County Republican Party. Here are two two options to get you started.

 

1. Direct Contribution by Check:

2. Volunteer Your Time:

If you would like to volunteer your time to help the Pender County GOP, please send an e-mail to the Pender GOP Chairman, Bob Muller with the following information:

  • Name
  • Address
  • City, State, ZIP
  • Phone (area code included)
  • E-Mail address

If you would like to register a friend, simply add the information to the email as well.

In the e-mail, please indicate in which of the following ways you are willing to help:

  • Place a Campaign poster in your yard
  • Volunteer your time as a Campaign worker
  • Distribute flyers to your Community
  • Phone constituents
  • Organize a precinct
  • Register to vote
  • Register OTHERS to vote
  • Attend party functions and/or meetings
  • Help with mailings
  • Comit to vote in EVERY election
  • Work the polls on Election Day
  • Write a letter to the Editor of your local newspaper
  • Contact your elected officials on matters of importance
  • Volunteer to be a delegate at an upcoming convention
  • Serve on a committee to plan a county-wide event
  • Work for your favorite Candidate on his/her Campaign
  • Run for public Office
  • Understand the issues and talk about them
  • Display a bumper sticker
  • Sign up your friends.

 

Volunteer Opportunities

Please consider volunteering your time to perform some of the following tasks on election days, during the campaigns leading up to elections and between elections.

  • Election Judges - (One JUDGE and several ASSISTANT JUDGES per precinct)
    • Work with Democrat judges and administer the polling place on election days. Judges must attend training given by the Board of Elections. This is a paid job. If you are an officer of any Party organization, you cannot be an election Judge.
  • Poll Watchers/Checkers - (Election Day - inside Polling Place)
    • Represent the Party as an observer within the Polling Place on Election Day and maintain a check-off list of who has voted.
  • Poll Workers - (Election Day - outside the Polling Place)
    • Represent the Party outside the Polling Place on election day to distribute voter information and answer questions.
  • Area/Block Workers - (Before Election Day)
    • Represent the Party and the precinct Chairman and carry-out needed functions within a designated geographical area, such as delivering literature, canvassing, identifying favorable voters and getting them out to vote.
  • Telephone Callers - (Before Election Day & Election Day)
    • Make calls canvassing before Election Day and to get out favorable voters on Election Day. Receive calls on Election Day.
  • Runners/Drivers - (Election Day)
    • Pick up and deliver voter check-off lists, provide transportation to voters of other workers as needed.
  • Clerical - (Before Election Day & on Election Day)
    • Information search and compilation, data input and headquarters activities during Election Day and the last 72 hours leading up to Election Day.
